As a Speech-Language pathologist, Cheri brings to Advocacy Associates many years of experience with Special Education in the public and private school systems.  Cheri holds a teaching credential and license in speech-language pathology from the State of California.  She has the Certificates of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and has been recognized by the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America for her advanced training and clinical expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech after completing training at Duquesne University Department of Speech/Language Pathology, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.   Cheri has presented seminars at the , ASHA National Conference, Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) National Conference, and various school districts throughout the state.

Cheri has, in the course of her career, received specialized training in many areas including, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism Spectrum Disorder, childhood language and language based learning disorders.  Cheri received specialized training in the SCERTS Model for children with ASD and was involved in the SCERTS pilot program in San Diego Unified School District for many years.
